Amy is an editor, writer, and strategist working in architecture and interior design.
Amy was editor of Architecture Media’s Artichoke magazine — the Design Institute of Australia’s official title — and InteriorsAu.
As Kinfolk’s brand director for 6 years, she facilitated the company’s expansion from the USA to Europe, built and led the team to relaunch the print and digital magazine, open a gallery, and produce bestselling books.
In 2020, she co-founded Værnis to support international clients with brand strategy, writing, and art direction.
Værnis unites the French ‘vernissage’ with the Danish ‘værk,’ meaning ‘work.’
During Amy’s 15-year career, she has written Norm Architects’ bestselling books Soft Minimal (2022) and Stillness (2024), judged design awards, mediated panels, interviewed renowned designers, collaborated with diverse clients, and launched new brands.
Amy has lived and worked in Australia, North America, and Europe, cultivating a broad perspective and network. She is now based between Melbourne and Copenhagen.
